Development of a business continuity plan that each business area has contributed to.
Each business area has specified and agreed their minimum working requirements in the event of a disaster.
A review of the full software inventory and it's uses.
Backup strategies are reviewed and changed accordingly.
Agreed remote working arrangements are put in place.
Planned reviews are agreed to ensure the plan is kept up-to-date.
An agreed test strategy is put in place.
A full test of the plans are carried out.

Our role varies per assignment, but usually includes:

Working with each business area to determine their minimum working requirements for people, processes and technology.
Agreeing the roles and responsibilities of key staff.
Working with IT and HR to build a method of delivering the minimum requirements defined by the business.
Exploring and evaluating solutions, if the business has additional needs.
Building the business continuity plan, by business area, so that each business area takes ownership of their role.
Agreeing the method and frequency of review.
Agreeing the test strategy and the associated key performance indicators, so that tests can be deemed successful or need to adapt and change.

Our deliverables include:

An organisation chart of the business, with key staff identified that have a role in the business continuity plan.
Minimum working requirements for each business area in scope of the plan,
An inventory of IT systems and their requirements in a disaster.
A business continuity plan. Key steps and personnel are shown in an executive summary.
An agreed owner and frequency of plan review.
A test strategy and the associated measures of success.
