SELECTION & IMPLEMENTATION OF A GLOBAL FINANCE SYSTEM 

For a not-for-profit organisation. Including 88 countries world-wide, this was part of their implementation of International Finance Accounting Standards. 

This led to NetSuite’s largest international implementation with 10,000 named users. We:

  • Led business analysis & requirements gathering, produced ITT, managed evaluation criteria & demonstrations. Significant vendor management. This largely completed by video and tele-conference with staff overseas.

  • Designed their new selection methodology.

  • Provided a large amount of implementation pre-planning and global resource needs. NetSuite selected as the preferred solution.

  • Negotiated over £30 million vendor cost savings over 5 years.

  • Were responsible for the UK and overseas implementation teams. Managed individual’s priorities, workload and direction. Reported weekly to the IFAS Project Director.

DELIVERY OF THE FINANCE PROJECT PORTFOLIO

For a global investment manager, we were responsible for the delivery of the Finance Portfolio consisting of:

  • Selection (vendor management) & implementation of a global account ownership solution, AssureNET.

  • Implementation of a document management system for HR.

  • Upgrading of the Extensity time & expenses system for over 3,000 global users.

  • Infrastructure optimisation of the global JD Edwards ERP system.

  • Selection and implementation of a global accounts payable solution using JD Edwards and Oracle Webcenter.

  • Leading business analysis & requirements gathering, and end to end business process reviews.

  • Leading design, build, integration, training, testing and rollout of systems.

SELECTION OF A RISK MODEL TO MANAGE OVER £30bn PENSION LIABILITIES

For a major retail bank, selected QRM to manage over £30bn in pension liabilities. We:

  • Led business analysis & requirements gathering, produced ITT/RFP, managed evaluation criteria & demonstrations. We had significant vendor management.

  • Implemented governance structure and chaired the Steering Committee.

  • Managed the business teams, Group IT and Procurement.

LED A RANGE OF BUSINESS & IT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

For a large property group, we were responsible for a range of business improvement projects, with a role on the senior management team. We led the following initiatives:

  • Systems selection and implementation of a Property Management System. This resulted in the selection and implementation of MRI/Qube Horizon.

  • Systems selection and implementation of PS Financials. This was further rolled out to other businesses in the Group; The Ritz Hotel, Ritz Casino & The Spectator Newspaper Publishing.

  • Systems selection and implementation of a jewellery sales and management system for The Ritz Fine Jewellery.

  • Managing compliance with HMRC 'making tax digital' for VAT.

  • Strategic IT management improvements.
